About Us

message from me:

Hello! I’m the proud mother of a spirited four-year-old daughter. She’s become my favourite way to express myself through fashion. While I tend to keep things understated for myself, usually wearing inconspicuous clothing.. I absolutely love dressing her up in whimsical, colourful and playful styles.

Fashion has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked in the industry for most of my career here in Australia and I’ve also had the privilege of living and working in London and Paris, soaking up inspiration from each city’s unique style and creative energy. Coming home to Australia after my daughter was born felt like the right move and it’s given me a new sense of purpose in my craft.

Our knitwear is lovingly crafted in Kosovo by women from a small village.. a place close to my heart, as my parents were born and raised there. Kosovo is a country with a complex history and in many villages, women have often lived quietly, their lives centred around home and family. I saw an opportunity to bring a bit of change and empowerment to these women’s lives and that’s how our journey began.

Initially, it was just my mother and me here in Australia, making custom cardigans for children. But as demand grew, I realised I couldn’t keep up by myself. So, I reached out to a group of women in Kosovo.. homemakers who spent their days cleaning, cooking and caring for their families. Today, five of these women are part of our team, each hand-knitting beautiful cardigans for us. They earn well above the average wage in Kosovo and it’s been wonderful to see how this small gesture has made a meaningful difference in their lives.

Once the cardigans are finished, they’re shipped to me in Australia, where I add the final touch: intricate floral embroidery, french knot strawberries and more. This process takes a few more days, but I love the creativity and care that goes into every stitch and at times, find it hard to part ways with each piece.

We source our wool from a Norwegian company, ensuring the highest quality of Alpaca wool and then ship it directly to Kosovo. Each cardigan is priced at about $260.. a price that’s perhaps undervalued for the time and skill involved, but I’m not in this solely for the money. I just want to create something beautiful and meaningful and to support women who deserve recognition for their talent and hard work.

Marketing and sales have never been my strong suit. I don’t know how I lasted so long in the industry, especially since pushing sales on walk-in customers always made me feel queasy! I’m a creative soul at heart and what truly makes me happy, is exploring fabric textures, playing with colours and bringing unique designs to life.

When my daughter is tucked in for the night, you’ll find me catching up on my studies (I’m currently completing my Bachelor’s in Primary School Teaching) or continuing with cardigan embroidery.. or doing dishes.. or laundry etc etc. Recently, I’ve also started offering woven products and I’m very excited to show you what I have planned for this year!

Thank you for supporting our little brand and for being part of this journey with us!
